Leaves of red and brown leather

The hill I work on is covered with oaks, chestnuts, maples, and probably a couple more deciduous trees. In the summer it’s nice, because we have a great deal of shade. In the autumn it’s beautiful as we go from October to December watching leaves go yellow, orange, red, and brown.

These two trees were particularly special this year, because their leaves had the look of leather that you’d find on a well-loved armchair or favorite jacket.
